Celebrating Young People from Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire: The Big Challenge Lunch 2024

Action4Youth is thrilled to announce the launch of the all-new “Big Challenge Lunch 2024.” This celebration will recognise and honour over 80 incredible young people from Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire, acknowledging their leadership, commitment, skills, and significant social contributions.

Building on the success of the “Big Night Out,” the Big Challenge Lunch promises to be an unforgettable awards ceremony, highlighting the outstanding achievements of local children and young individuals across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.

The theme of the day will be the crucial theme of employability and the future workforce, emphasising the importance of empowering young people to be confident and work-ready as they transition from school to the professional world.

This lively and engaging event will include a conversation with local sportsman and former England cricketer, James Hildreth and comments from the leaders of Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire Councils; Cllr Pete Marland and Cllr Martin Tett respectively.

One of the most exciting aspects of the Big Challenge Lunch is the “Ultimate Challenge Cup.” Bucks and Milton Keynes schools will go head-to-head to compete for this coveted award, with a grand prize of £1000 for the winning school.

The winning school will also be awarded the Ultimate Challenge Cup by the winning Council leader.

Buckinghamshire Council Leader Martin Tett said:

“It’s great to be part of this day and it’s really rewarding to see local school children participate in these events. It’s a fantastic and fun way for them to challenge themselves and each other. I champion initiatives like this that help to prepare young people for adult life and particularly employment.”

Attendees will also hear Action4Youth’s future plans and how the charity will continue to inspire young people in the region.
