Cigarette Bins installed across the city

Cigarette Bins installed across the city

Ten cigarette bins have been installed outside Xscape by MyMiltonKeynes BID as part of an initiative to reduce the number of cigarette butts littering the city centre.

The ‘butt bins’ have been placed around the outside of the centre at the request of the Xscape team, who will regularly empty the bins as part of their commitment to keeping the area clean and attractive. Additional bins will be installed in key locations across the city centre in the coming weeks.

Individuals caught dropping cigarette butts, are currently issued fixed penalty notices of up to £80 by the Milton Keynes City Council enforcement team, via their contractor WISE.

MyMiltonKeynes BID levy paying business may request a bin for outside their premises by emailing info@mymiltonkeynes.co.uk or calling us on 01908 395099.
