Milton Keynes

Remembering the fallen……

Remembering the fallen……

We are encouraging the community and beyond to visit the city to view a new Poppy Projection that will light up the side of the MyMiltonKeynes office, outside Midsummer Place. The projection will be in place from 1st November – 16th November (during darks hours), and will be a beautiful addition to Milton Keynes commemorating the fallen this remembrance.

Following our popular projection on the side on MK Theatre last year, this year’s projection will much bigger and moving. You won’t want to miss it.

The poem by John McCrae

In Flanders’ fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses, row on row,

That mark our place: and in the sky

The larks, still bravely singing, fly

Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead. Short days ago

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,

Loved and were loved, and now we lie

In Flanders’ fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe;

To you from failing hands we throw

The torch; be yours to hold it high,

If ye break faith with us who die

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

In Flanders’ Fields.
