MyMiltonKeynes proudly sponsor Willen Hospice’s Mini Moo

MyMiltonKeynes was delighted to be announced as this year’s headline sponsor of the Mini Moo event, part of local Milton Keynes charity, Willen Hospice’s ‘Summer of Moo’, a combination of three fundraising events to encourage the community to get out in the fresh air and help get the charity closer to its £4.7 million sponsorship target for 2022.

The Midday Moo on the 25^th June was a relaxed affair and challenged local people to walk a 5 or 10-mile route around Milton Keynes, starting at the MK Rugby Club in Emerson Valley, stopping along the way at local pubs and finishing at The Big Food Festival.

The charity’s flagship event, The Midnight Moo returned for its 13th year with a brand new route.  Starting and finishing at Midsummer Place, the Midnight Moo kicked off at 10 pm and brought the party atmosphere, accompanied by fairy lights and music to keep spirits up. While the Mini Moo, previously known as the ‘Scooterthon’ regained its title as an MK family favourite, offering a fun way for younger supporters to get involved by either running, walking or scootering around Willen Lake North.

Peta Wilkinson, Willen Hospice CEO, said “The Summer of Moo has become one of Milton Keynes’ most popular fundraising events and we were delighted to bring it back even bigger and better this year!”

Senior Events Fundraiser, Katrina Walsh, commented “Thank you once again for supporting and sponsoring this year’s Mini Moo. I am pleased to report we had approximately 120 smiling, happy children and have raised just over £8,000 for the Hospice, with money still coming in. Again, a MASSIVE thank you to yourselves and everyone at MyMiltonKeynes.”
