MyMiltonKeynes spotted at the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 Fan Parties

The arrival of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 to Milton Keynes created a real buzz for both fans and local businesses throughout the City.

MyMiltonKeynes was delighted to be a Host City sponsor for the tournament’s Fan Parties, which took place in Station Square, every MK match day.

Kicking off the Fan Parties in Milton Keynes, July saw football fans of all ages and genders come together to celebrate in true MK style, with a variety of fun football-themed activities for the whole family, including children’s entertainment, kick-about and ‘learn a new skill’ opportunities, free films and music on the Big Screen, an outdoor exhibition telling the story of women’s football and much more.

MyMK played a vital role in the success of the celebratory Fan Parties, sponsoring the Big Screen, supplying deckchairs in Station Square and providing transport for volunteers to and from the fanzone via MyBus.

As well as the variety of activities taking place, there was also a dedicated chill-out area, with comfy seats located amongst newly created wildflower meadows. From face-painting to table-football and live music the Fan Parties offered something for everyone.

Wednesday 27^th July saw the final Fan Party in Station Square and featured a series of newly commissioned portraits of local players taken by social documentary photographer, Katherine Green, to tell the history of Women’s football.
