New Butt Bins Installed Outside Lane7

My-MK has installed three new cigarette butt bins outside the rear of popular new entertainment venue Lane7, in Midsummer Place.

As part of the BID’s commitment to maintaining and improving the public realm, this small but important upgrade will help reduce litter around the external smoking areas on Saxon Gate and Avebury Boulevard.

Midsummer Place had flagged the issue, saying:“Lane7 visitors use the two external entrances for smoking, but there are currently no cigarette butt bins nearby... We recalled that MyMiltonKeynes had installed some in the past and were hoping for your support.”

The BID was happy to help, installing the bins swiftly. The Lane7 team will take care of emptying them, and together we’re working to keep our city centre clean, safe and welcoming.
