Meet the Board
Our board, led by an independent, volunteer chair, oversees the strategic direction of the Company and the delivery of our BID Business Plan. The Board of Directors comprises volunteer representatives of the different business sectors in Milton Keynes City Centre.
Terms of reference for the Board can be found here. Information on appointment of Directors and company governance is contained within our Articles of Association. All directors are required to declare any relevant personal or pecuniary interests at each meeting.

Independent
Diane Wehrle (Chair)
Diane Wehrle is a leading retail and place expert with over 30 years’ experience, including co-founding Springboard and founding Rendle Intelligence and Insights. A Milton Keynes resident since 1998, she brings global expertise, strong industry recognition, and deep local knowledge to her role as Independent Chair of MyMiltonKeynes BID.

centre:mk
Kevin Duffy (Vice Chair)
Kevin brings a wealth of experience in managing some of the UK's largest and most prestigious centres. His role at centre:mk, home to over 200 retailers and restaurants, is to lead the strategic direction of the shopping centre and help keep the centre relevant to today’s savvy shoppers.

Midsummer Place
Simon Martin
Simon is the Centre Manager for Midsummer Place and has worked in the retail industry for over 30 years, working for iconic brands such as M&S and Debenhams. He has lived in Milton Keynes for over 30 years and has seen the city grow to its current status and is passionate about supporting future growth of the city.

Santander
Nick Roberts
Nick has worked in the property industry for 35 years and qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1991. He has spent the majority of his career in corporate real estate in various financial services organisations. For the last 28 years he has been based in Central Milton Keynes working for Santander and its predecessor Abbey National. He's been Head of Property for 15 years.

Network Rail
Jo Lewington
Jo is Chief Environment and Sustainability Officer at Network Rail based at the company’s national centre; The Quadrant in Milton Keynes. Jo qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and has spent her career to date working within the private practice property sector and also within the property sector of the Rail Industry initially for Railtrack and more recently, Network Rail.

Milton Keynes Development Partnership
Adam Sciberras
Adam is Special Projects Director of Milton Keynes Development Partnership (MKDP). His focus is on the development of key areas of the city centre including Station Square and the Open Market, as well as placemaking in wider Milton Keynes and the regeneration of Bletchley.

Milton Keynes Council
Paul Thomas
Paul is the Director of Planning and Placemaking for Milton Keynes City Council (MKCC), leading the city’s long-term growth agenda. He oversees the delivery of high-quality, sustainable places, embedding culture and innovation. Paul has more than 20 years’ Local Government experience and is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.

Hotel La Tour
Jane Riley
Jane Riley is the Operations Director of Hotel La Tour. She has over 35 years of experience in large hotels and conference venues.
She is a credible business leader with strong commercial ability and a proven track record of delivering tangible results in all disciplines of the hotel and conference business.

Milton Keynes Theatre
Emma Sullivan
Emma is the Theatre Director at MK Theatre, where she's been working since January 2015. She has extensive experience in the theatre industry – as marketing manager for MK Theatre, The Gordon Craig Theatre and Concert Hall, as head of marketing for HQ Theatres, and theatre director of the Swan in High Wycombe.

MyMiltonKeynes
Jill Farnsworth
Jill is a place management professional, who has been CEO at MyMiltonKeynes BID since September 2023, following seven years as Head of Operations and Development at Watford BID. Jill has extensive public and private sector experience, having worked for six years at Watford Borough Council and prior to that eight years in the PR agency & media environment.

Ballot/Business Plan
Every five years we undertake a mandatory ballot where we ask our businesses to vote on our vision for Milton Keynes City Centre presented in our Business plan.

Procurement Policy
All our procurement must be based on value for money, defined as “the best mix of quality and effectiveness for the least outlay over the period of use of the goods or services bought”. This should be achieved through competition, unless there are compelling reasons to the contrary.
