Central Milton Keynes looked a little brighter last week thanks to the efforts of local businesses and volunteers who took part in the second city centre litter pick of 2025.
Organised by MyMiltonKeynes, the community clean-up saw 25 volunteers give up their time on the morning of Wednesday 21st May to help tackle litter around the business district – from Sovereign Court down to Milton Keynes Central Station, Portway, and the area around Morrisons.
Together, the group collected 35 bags of rubbish between 10am and 1pm – a fantastic effort that’s helping to create a cleaner, greener city centre for everyone who lives, works, and visits here.
Among the volunteers were teams from Handelsbanken, NatWest Business, Midsummer Place, centre:mk, and Santander UK, all of whom played their part in supporting this hands-on initiative.
The next litter pick will take place on Wednesday 16th July, and new volunteers are always welcome. To take part, email info@mymiltonkeynes.co.uk to register your interest.
Let’s keep working together to make Milton Keynes cleaner, greener – and even better.🌿
