Private security patrols
About our Bobbies
Our My Local Bobby private security officers started in July 2024. Their role is to provide support to our businesses and respond to on-street nuisance, shoplifting, anti-social behaviour (ASB) and crime issues.
These officers will often be the initial responders to these activities, referring cases to Thames Valley Police and assisting businesses with issues.

They work in partnership with security teams at centre:mk, Midsummer Place and Xscape. They also support the Safer MK team on community safety initiatives at Safer Business Action Days.

Undercover patrols
During the busy festive period My-MK ramped up its support to local businesses by bringing back undercover security operatives from the My Local Bobby head office team. The Prolific Crime Team (PCT), made a big impact when they were first deployed in June 2024 and returned to support businesses in the five weeks leading up to Christmas 2025.
