On 15th July, MyMiltonKeynes BID hosted its Summer Social event at the Moxy Hotel. The event was a fantastic opportunity to bring together people working in BID businesses to connect, share ideas, and hear the latest updates from across Milton Keynes City Centre.
One of the highlights of the evening was the unveiling of the brand-new 5PMK video, celebrating the variety of things to do in Milton Keynes after 5pm. From restaurants and bars to leisure activities and entertainment venues, the campaign showcases the vibrant offer available in the city centre for visitors, residents, and workers alike.
The event also saw the official launch of the MK City Centre Accessibility Guide, a practical new resource designed to make Milton Keynes a more inclusive and welcoming place for all. Alongside the Guide, business toolkits were made available to help organisations understand how to commission their own Detailed Access Guides for the AccessAble website, along with information on grant funding MyMiltonKeynes BID his offering to businesses to support them in getting their own Guide.
With an excellent turnout, the Summer Social proved a valuable networking opportunity, reinforcing MyMiltonKeynes’ commitment to supporting businesses and improving the overall experience of Milton Keynes city centre. Plans are already underway for the next event.
Jill Farnsworth, Chief Executive of MyMiltonKeynes BID, said:
“It was brilliant to see so many people from across the BID area come together at the Moxy Hotel for our Summer Social. The launch of the 5PMK video and our Accessibility Guide marks an exciting step in showcasing everything Milton Keynes has to offer and ensuring the city centre is accessible for everyone. We’re looking forward to building on this momentum at future events.”
