Businesses come together for final MyMK litter pick of 2026

Businesses from across Milton Keynes City Centre came together for the final MyMK litter pick of 2026, with 37 volunteers from eight businesses helping to clean up key areas around the city centre.
Following a briefing at 10am, volunteers headed out across Silbury Boulevard, Avebury Boulevard and Midsummer Boulevard, covering the route from the MyMK office through to Milton Keynes Central station.
Over the course of two to three hours, the team collected an impressive 55 bags of litter, while also identifying several litter hotspots, particularly in the car parks close to the station, around the former Toys R Us site and next to the former Sainsbury’s and Argos building.
Businesses taking part included centre:mk, NatWest, Coventry Building Society, HSBC, Xscape (Landsec), Midsummer Place, Arbour and BENCHMARK ARCHITECTS.
The litter pick provided a great opportunity for businesses to come together, get out into the city centre and play their part in keeping Milton Keynes clean and welcoming for businesses, workers and visitors.
A huge thank you to everyone who has taken part in our litter picks throughout 2026. We look forward to getting businesses back together for more city centre clean-ups in 2027, with new dates to be announced in the new year.
