The Milton Keynes Business Improvement District (MyMiltonKeynes BID) is delighted to announce the appointment of Diane Wehrle as a Director of the BID Board. Diane will formally take over as Independent Chair on 20 November 2025, when current Chair, Paul Davis, steps down after completing the maximum six year term of office.

Diane was unanimously approved by the BID Board of Directors at their meeting on 18 September 2025. She brings a wealth of experience from more than 30 years working at the forefront of the retail, property, and town centre industries. She is the Founder and CEO of Rendle Intelligence and Insights and co-founded Springboard, which became a market leader in retail intelligence before its acquisition by MRI Software in 2022.

Diane has worked with over 300 high street clients, advised BIDs and local authorities across the UK, and is a recognised voice on town centres and retail destinations in national and international media. In 2025, she was named one of the world’s Top 100 Retail Influencers by Rethink Retail for the fifth consecutive year.

I am really looking forward to working closely with her, especially as we develop our plans for our next five-year term.”

A Milton Keynes resident since 1998, Diane is passionate about the city’s development.  Her decision to join the BID reflects the organisation’s work in the city and Milton Keynes’ continued potential for growth and development.

Paul Davis, outgoing Chair of the BID Board, said: “I’m delighted that Diane has chosen to join and chair the Board. Her experience, knowledge and involvement in the development of town and city centres across the UK, combined with her knowledge of the BID sector, will be a great asset to Jill and the Board. The City Centre has changed in many ways over the last 50 years, not least in the development of the residential offering, and the activities of the BID and its operations are an essential part of that transformation. I‘m certain that Diane’s leadership of the Board will see that role evolve and develop”

In her role as Independent Chair, Diane will provide strategic leadership to the MyMiltonKeynes BID Board, which includes representatives from the city’s leading organisations across retail, leisure, professional services and commercial sectors. She will guide the Board in setting the BID’s strategic direction, ensuring effective governance, and working closely with the CEO and stakeholders to deliver maximum value for levy payers.

Diane Wehrle, incoming Chair, said: “I am thrilled to be joining the Board of MyMiltonKeynes BID at such an important time for the city centre. Milton Keynes has been my home for nearly three decades, and I am excited to contribute to its continued growth and success by supporting the BID and its levy payers. The city has significant potential, and I look forward to working with the Board and local stakeholders to make the most of it.”

MyMiltonKeynes BID is a collective of over 330 businesses that invest in the success of Milton Keynes City Centre. More information about the BID Board and its directors can be found at https://www.mymiltonkeynes.co.uk/governance-board
