MyMiltonKeynes announces 2026 litter pick dates following successful 2025 programme

Following the success of last year’s business-led litter picks, MyMiltonKeynes is inviting BID businesses to take part in the 2026 programme and continue making a visible difference to Milton Keynes City Centre.

In 2025, the MyMiltonKeynes-led initiative brought together teams from Santander, NatWest, Handelsbanken, DMK, John Lewis, Midsummer Place and centre:mk. Across four dates, volunteers collected an impressive 112 bags of litter in just 12 hours, demonstrating the impact that collective action from the business community can achieve.

Building on that momentum, a number of BID businesses have already expressed interest in getting involved again in 2026, embedding the litter picks into their ongoing CSR activity.

2026 litter pick dates confirmed

All sessions will take place within the BID area, starting and finishing at the MyMiltonKeynes office:

Each session will run from 10am to approximately 1pm.

Businesses can join one date or multiple sessions across the year, offering flexibility for teams while contributing to a cleaner, more welcoming city centre environment.

MyMiltonKeynes is encouraging BID businesses to come forward now and add a 2026 litter pick to their CSR schedule. All equipment and coordination will be provided, making it an easy and practical way for teams to support the city centre they operate in.
