The MyMiltonKeynes BID planting project is bringing a burst of colour and life to Midsummer Boulevard as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the Milton Keynes city centre landscape.

A landscaped garden with colorful plants in bloom bordered by trimmed hedges. Background shows parked cars and fall foliage.

Our public realm team is currently transforming flower beds along one of the city’s main routes – from the station to the shopping district – by planting over 1,000 evergreen plants. The mix includes lavender, wild geranium, and heuchera, chosen for their colour, resilience, and ability to thrive all year round.

Colorful garden with various plants in front of a brick building. A silver car is parked nearby. Sign reads "Witan Gate East." Autumn leaves add warmth.

This city centre planting project aims to fill in empty spaces with vibrant greenery that will flourish in summer and continue to improve the look and feel of the area throughout the year.
