MyMiltonKeynes BID has officially launched Elmer's Art Parade, a colourful summer trail designed to encourage more people to explore Milton Keynes City Centre and support local businesses throughout the school holidays.

Running until 31 August, the trail features twelve uniquely designed Elmer sculptures positioned across the city centre. Delivered by MyMiltonKeynes in partnership with Wild in Art and Andersen Press, the BID-funded initiative encourages visitors to discover different parts of the city centre while enjoying a free outdoor cultural experience.

The trail officially launched on Saturday 11 July at 12th Street, where families gathered to celebrate the arrival of Elmer's Art Parade in Milton Keynes. The first 250 attendees received exclusive Elmer goody bags, while a giant Elmer mascot, provided by Gulliver's Land, entertained visitors throughout the event.

Children also had the opportunity to decorate their own colourful patches, which were combined to create a giant community Elmer artwork. The finished piece is now on display in the MK Gallery Café, celebrating the creativity, imagination and community spirit that sit at the heart of Elmer's Art Parade Milton Keynes.

Each sculpture has been designed by a different artist and inspired by celebrated artistic styles and cultural influences, transforming public spaces across the city centre into vibrant destinations for visitors, workers and residents. Participants can follow one of two themed routes or complete the full trail, helping to drive footfall and dwell time across the city centre.

Elmer's Art Parade forms part of MyMiltonKeynes BID's ongoing commitment to delivering events and experiences that enhance the city centre offer, attract visitors and create benefits for the businesses that invest in the BID.
