MyMK News: A New Look and Feel for Milton Keynes City Centre

MyMiltonKeynes (MyMK) Business Improvement District (BID) is delighted to announce the launch of its vibrant new City Centre consumer brand and a state-of-the-art website, designed to enrich the experience of everyone visiting or exploring Milton Keynes City Centre.

The new website, mymk.cc, serves as a digital gateway to the City Centre, offering a wealth of information and features tailored to meet the needs of both residents and visitors. With a sleek and modern interface, it aims to provide a seamless online experience, whether users are searching for the latest events, looking for places to shop and dine, or planning a day out in Milton Keynes.

Jill Farnsworth, CEO of MyMK said:

“Milton Keynes City Centre has been its own best kept secret for too long. Well known for being a top retail destination, we’re now lifting the lid and shouting loudly and proudly about all the reasons we love it here.  We’ve got everything from indoor sky diving, skiing and golf, to trampolining and ice skating. There are great bars, cafes and restaurants and even a first-class theatre showing popular West End shows – and that’s just in the City Centre itself.

"By launching this website we’re giving those that work here – Santander alone has 4500 employees - that live here and that travel in from outside the area, the information they need to get the most out of our vibrant and exciting City Centre.”

Built on a composable architecture and powered by a cutting-edge tech stack, the website incorporates a host of innovative features. These include a carefully curated business directory, an interactive map that allows users to easily find key locations around the city, an intuitive day planner to help organise trips and build itineraries you can share with friends or family, and AI assist technology that enhances personalisation and user interaction. By prioritising user experience and intuitive design, MyMK is ensuring that the website remains a central hub for anyone looking to navigate the City Centre with ease.

MyMK appointed award-winning digital product and design agency evensix to collaborate closely with their team in delivering this exciting and ambitious project. evensix brings a wealth of expertise in digital innovation and user-centric design, ensuring that mymk.cc not only meets but exceeds the expectations of our community.

Pete Cockram, Design Lead at evensix, commented; “We were thrilled to collaborate with the MyMK team to bring their vision to life, creating a dynamic brand and digital experience that reflects the essence of Milton Keynes. Using the most up-to-date technology, we’ve crafted a visually engaging and user-friendly platform that serves both residents and visitors, helping them seamlessly explore and enjoy everything the city has to offer. We're really pleased with the results and are excited to see how the people of Milton Keynes and beyond respond to it.”

Through its forward-thinking digital strategy, MyMK aims to foster a greater sense of connection between Milton Keynes' community and its City Centre, encouraging more people to explore all the unique offerings the area has to offer. The new website will act as a key tool in driving footfall, promoting local businesses, and creating a dynamic urban environment for residents and visitors alike.
