Great result for our Community Safety Patrol Officer, Greta today. One of her routine business engagement visits, she noticed a customer leaving the store as the security alarms activated. Working closely and promptly with in‑store security team, she approached the individual and requested that they return to resolve the issue.

Although the customer was initially unwilling to cooperate, Greta maintained a calm, professional manner and clearly communicated the next steps. Her steady, measured approach resulted in the individual engaging, and two stolen items were subsequently recovered by store staff. They were then able to take appropriate action, including issuing a store ban.

The MyMiltonKeynes BID security team continues to operate seven days a week, supporting retailers with reassurance, visibility, and professional presence throughout the city centre.
