The BID has funded an additional Thames Valley Police Officer to exclusively patrol the BID area and tackle anti-social behaviour, illegal begging and business crime issues. The police officer provides around 2,000 hours every year to patrolling Central Milton Keynes.

A Thames Valley Police officer has been ringfenced to patrol the BID area which has resulted in 2,000 hours of patrolling across the year, tackling anti-social behaviour, illegal begging and business crime issues. 94 verbal warnings have been issued to professional beggars, as well as five Community Protection Notice breaches. Shoppers should be assured knowing that there is a continued police presence in the area helping to keep them, and their favourite businesses safe. As well as that the link with Thames Valley Police is providing invaluable intelligence for the Business Crime Partnership System.
